- Are you on a QMC computer?
Computers that can access the QMC Intranet should be able to access the Library's licensed resources. If you are on one of these computers, please contact the Library at 547-4300 for further assistance.
If you are not on a QMC computer (e.g. you get your Internet access through Roadrunner, AOL, etc.) you need to log in to our web site first. From the home page, click on the upper right side of the HML banner where it states "off-campus affiliated users click here to sign in". You will then be presented with an Electronic Resource Use Guidelines and User Authentication page. Next to the image of the library card, fill in your library card number and your last name. After clicking the "submit query" button, you should be returned to the HML home page. At this point, you should be able to access the licensed resources.
- After logging in, were you able to get into any of the resources? Or are there only selected ones that you can't get into?
If you were initially able to access some of the licensed resources, you may have accidentally been logged off. Click on "off-campus affiliated users click here to sign in" section of the HML banner and the screen will either take you back to the home page (which means you are once again logged in) or it will ask you to log in again.
If you are able to get into most of the licensed resources, with one or two exceptions, the resource/publisher may be experiencing problems. Please contact the Library at 547-4300 so that we can verify this.
If you are able to get into the licensed resources, but are stopped from viewing a particular document or web site feature, your computer may be missing or have an old version of the following software applications. If a software upgrade doesn't fix the problem, please contact the Library at 547-4300 for further assistance.
If you try to log in but are presented with repeated messages that your number or name are incorrect, your card may be expired or it may be a firewall issue. Please contact the Library at 547-4300 for more information.
