Dr. Edwin B. Adams was born in Vermont on September 5, 1908. His father, Albert Adams, was born in Pennsylvania, served in the U.S. Volunteers in the Philippine Islands during the Spanish American War, and was a farmer. Dr. Adams was an Assistant Professor at The University of Vermont College of Medicine 1942-44. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Vermont in 1948. He interned at the Queen's Hospital, Honolulu, from 1948-49 and was Assistant Professor at Jefferson Medical School 1949-50. He was called to active duty in the U.S. Army in 1952.
Dr. Adams was at the V.A. Regional Office 1956-58, 1961-67. He was a resident for three months in 1960 at the Veterans Administration, Pittsburgh, Pa. In 1970, Dr. Adams was employed as a city and county physician and also had a small private general practice. In 1980 Dr. Adams was charged with the illegal sale of drugs, but the case was eventually dismissed. He retired in the early 1980's.
Dr. Adams and his wife, Helen, had a daughter, Mary.
Dr. Adams died on June 7, 1988.
