Celebrating 140 Years of Caring: The Festival of Trees

The Festival of Tress, sponsored by The Queen's Medical Center Auxiliary, has ushered in Hawaii's holiday season since the days before statehood. Festival workers donate their time year-round, handcrafting Christmas creations and planning for the event.

In the fund-raising tradition of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, the festival has raised almost $2 million for the Medical Center since its inception.

Funds have gone toward the purchase of intensive care unit equipment, a cardiac care program, a surgical laser, Hawaii's first Open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit, a community outreach program for teens and much more.
