Agaricus
Agaricus jar

Agaricus is a genus of fungi with gills and brown spores that includes mushrooms described as among the best edible (button and portabello) as well as those that are poisonous. This jar may have held Agaricus muscarius (common name: fly agaric), a hallucinogenic mushroom found in the pine forests of Europe; used in homeopathic dilutions for nerve pain, fever, anxiety, alcohol poisoning, and joint pain.
